Rebuild Texas Fund Announces $1.5M in Grants


We are excited to share the news that the Rebuild Texas Fund is announcing $1,500,000 in grant funding to help communities affected by Hurricane Harvey prepare for future hurricane seasons.

Key information about the application process is provided below.
• Key dates: Pre-proposal applications due Monday, February 18, 2019
o If invited, applicants will be required to submit a full proposal by Friday, March 15
o Award notifications will be made by the end of April 2019.
• Eligible organizations: Non-profit organizations and government entities located in and/or
serving at least one of the counties designated for individual assistance as listed in the Texas
Disaster Declaration
• Eligible projects: Generator / power supply, communication and medical equipment, vehicles,
rescue boats or building enhancements / modifications
• Grant amount: Up to $100,000 (projects exceeding that cost must demonstrate that other
funding sources are identified or available)
• Project implementation timeline: Project should commence by July 2019 and expend
funding within six months
• Application: Available at www.rebuildtx.org/prepare/

This round of funding builds upon the more than $1.4 million provided in June 2018, in conjunction with
the Center for Disaster Philanthropy, which supported 30 preparedness projects across Harvey-impacted
regions. We are excited to continue our support for projects that enhance a community’s ability to
